Drug electrophoresis

Drug electrophoresis is a physiotherapeutic method that supports the local delivery of appropriate therapeutic agents through a controlled electric field.

At Laser Dental Clinic, the method is used for selected clinical indications as part of comprehensive treatment protocols. The therapeutic agent is selected individually according to the diagnosis, tissue condition, and treatment objective.

In dentistry, drug electrophoresis may be incorporated as an adjunctive method in selected endodontic and periodontal conditions, dentin hypersensitivity, and other local therapeutic protocols when clinically justified.

The controlled electric field supports the local movement of ionized substances. The type and concentration of the therapeutic agent, electrical parameters, duration, and number of procedures are determined individually.

Drug electrophoresis does not replace primary treatment. It is used as an adjunctive method within an individualized, comprehensive therapeutic approach.
