Galen Test – Focal Diagnostics

Adjunctive assessment of suspected odontogenic focal sites in the jaws

The Galen Test is an adjunctive diagnostic method that may be used at Laser Dental Clinic when an odontogenic focal site within the jaws is suspected.

The method is applied as part of a comprehensive diagnostic assessment and may help identify areas that require more detailed clinical and imaging evaluation.

When clinically indicated, the findings are interpreted together with the medical and dental history, clinical examination, periodontal status, pulp vitality testing, endodontic and functional diagnostic findings, and appropriate diagnostic imaging.

When a suspicious area is identified, additional radiographic assessment may be recommended, including intraoral radiography, panoramic radiography, or CBCT depending on the individual clinical case.

The Galen Test is not used as a stand-alone method for establishing a diagnosis and does not replace clinical or diagnostic imaging assessment. It is used as an adjunctive method within an individualized comprehensive diagnostic approach.
