Microbiological analyses

Microbiological testing complements clinical and periodontal diagnostics by identifying microorganisms associated with the development and progression of inflammatory conditions in the oral cavity.

At Laser Dental Clinic, when clinically indicated, the microbiological profile may be assessed, including the presence of selected periodontal pathogens. The results are interpreted together with the medical history, clinical examination, periodontal status, and other diagnostic findings.

Microbiological information may support individualized risk assessment, selection and monitoring of the therapeutic approach, and planning of long-term maintenance. Testing is not used as a stand-alone diagnostic method, but as part of a comprehensive diagnostic approach.
