PRF

Autologous platelet concentrates to support tissue healing and regenerative processes

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is an autologous platelet concentrate obtained from the patient's own venous blood through controlled centrifugation. The resulting fibrin matrix contains platelets and other cellular components and is used to support the body's natural tissue-healing processes.

At Laser Dental Clinic, PRF and other appropriate autologous platelet protocols are used as part of the regenerative approach in periodontology, oral surgery, and implant dentistry.

In periodontal diseases, autologous plasma and platelet therapy, also known as “plasmolifting,” may be incorporated, when clinically indicated, as an adjunct to primary periodontal treatment to support healing and regenerative processes in the periodontal tissues.

PRF may be used in surgical and regenerative procedures, extraction socket management, soft-tissue procedures, bone-regenerative procedures, and implant treatment according to the individual clinical case.

Because the material is autologous, it is prepared individually from the patient's own blood in direct connection with the treatment procedure. The choice of protocol and method of application is determined according to the clinical indications, the patient's general health status, and the planned treatment.

PRF and autologous platelet therapies do not replace primary periodontal, surgical, or implant treatment and do not guarantee a specific regenerative outcome. They are used as part of an individualized, comprehensive treatment approach.
