Pulp Vitality Test (EOD)

The Pulp Vitality Test (EOD) is a diagnostic method used for functional assessment of the dental pulp by evaluating its response to a controlled electrical stimulus.

At Laser Dental Clinic, EOD is used when clinically indicated as part of the diagnostic and differential assessment of teeth with suspected changes in pulpal status, following dental trauma, in cases of deep carious lesions, before selected restorative and prosthetic procedures, and for follow-up over time.

The obtained values are interpreted comparatively and in the context of the medical and dental history, clinical examination, symptoms, diagnostic imaging, and other tests assessing pulpal status.

EOD is not used as the sole criterion for determining the condition of the dental pulp or establishing a diagnosis, but as part of a comprehensive diagnostic approach.
