Creating a Biological Foundation for Treatment
Initial Therapy is the stage in which active pathological processes are brought under control and conditions are created for safe and predictable subsequent treatment.
Depending on the individual case, it may include control of infection and inflammation, professional oral hygiene and biofilm control, periodontal therapy, treatment of active carious processes, endodontic treatment, laser decontamination and photobiomodulation, as well as other necessary stabilizing procedures.
The aim is to achieve biological stability upon which the subsequent functional and structural restoration can be built.
We do not restore on an unstable foundation. We proceed to the next stage when the clinical condition allows it.
